block is ok up to 1000hp,trans 600hp,heads just need decomp plate, engine manage up for 1000k-1500 depends.
1000hp through the stock Windsor block!!!!! :rofl2: even 500hp is severly pushing these blocks as many of the US guys find the hard way. The SVO motorsport blocks will go to around 700hp from memory while the aftermarket Dart blocks are good for over 1000hp.

Again the auto trans is only good for 350-400hp in stock form but can fairly easily handle 500hp with basic mods and 600hp when built properly.

Also decompression plates and Windsors don't mix well. They screw up the quench distance and normally just cause pinging problems. Decompress the engine properly with low comp pistons.

I just assumed(which I probably shoundnt of)the block would be good for that cause the six cylinder block can handle it and decompression plates are fine on the six.

The I6 block stronger - 7 main bearings and all forces in the same axis. The V8 has forces in two axis which are trying to tear the block in half.
